Simply beautiful hotel located really close to the sea and the town, the beach and amenities and bus stops and the High Street. Exceptionally kind staff, bright and fairly quiet rooms with comfortable beds. Plenty of nice food. Particularly good and fab location to Sandown Beach. Also, on sightseeing in the Isle.

The location was one of the best parts of our stay, with easy access to the beach and shops within a short walk. The hosts were lovely, making us feel welcomed, and were attentive to our needs, checking in with us daily. Although the room was a bit dated and on the small side for our family, it served its purpose for our short visit. We appreciated the good breakfast, which helped start our day right before heading out for local attractions.

The location was perfect for our big family, just a short walk to the beach, and the bike hire made it fun for the kids to explore. The cute staff were attentive, we felt comfortable throughout our stay. A real plus for the children!
In my wife's opinion, the cramped family room was quite uncomfortable. A more spacious option would help families like ours enjoy their stay better.

I found Chester Lodge charming with its friendly staff, cozy décor, and accessible layout. The location was also ideal for exploring local attractions and enjoying the seaside.
Room size could be more spacious for seniors.

We had a fantastic stay with our two kids. The breakfast was really well stocked and the bar stayed open late for us all. The kids loved the beach access and enjoyed the cozy TV lounge in the evenings. Just remember that the parking can be limited, but it's worth the experience! 😊

The building exudes an old-world charm, with unique historic elements that catch the eye. Its proximity to the beach and local shops makes it easy to explore without hassle.
The room lacked ventilation, feeling stuffy at times, especially with the limited window openings. Unfortunately, the mattresses were rather poor. I woke up with back pain after a few nights. The bathroom facilities need a thorough check, as the shower pressure felt weak and there were persistent issues with the hot water. Lastly, there was a prevailing odor from the kitchen that often seeped into the room.

It was just a great fit for a short stay with extraordinarily good value for money. The staff member with glasses at breakfast was the only one who seemed to care and was helpful. Bring your own towels. The ones provided are awful.

The location of Chester Lodge is fantastic. Just a short walk to the beach and shops. The friendly hosts greet you warmly and. They offer tea and coffee facilities in the room, nice after a long day out. The room itself left a lot to be desired. It was small and stuffy. Even with the window open, it felt hot, and the noise from other guests was frustrating. The mattress on the bed hurt my back, and I didn't get much rest at all. I expected clean sheets and daily room service, but during my week-long stay, the room was only cleaned once, and the sheets changed just once. The breakfast did not meet my expectations, either. It seemed like cheap food and wasn't cooked well. I was three minutes late to breakfast one morning, and the owner's annoyance was clear. Lovely hosts and location, but needed better room quality and upkeep.

A Place with Potential but Room for Improvement
Our family stayed for a week in a family room. The overall atmosphere had promise, but cleanliness needs attention. We appreciated the cozy vibe. Breakfast could improve greatly. For family visits, consider dining options outside for better meals, as we encountered some noise .

Perfect for a quick family getaway
Stayed here for 5 nights with my family and it was super cozy! The breakfasts were tasty, and the staff were really warm and friendly, especially to my kids. It's in a great spot, just a short walk from the beach. The place is a bit dated, but honestly, we didn't mind much. They even packed us lunches!

The hosts were warm and cute, taking the time to greet every guest. The location was ideal, just a short stroll to the beach and convenient shops. Unfortunately, the hotel felt dated and in need of fresh decor, particularly noticeable in the public areas with a neglected appearance. My stay was also marred by the damp smell in the corridors and the room not meeting cleanliness expectations.

Good location with friendly hosts
I stayed in a family room for 7 nights and the location was fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and local shops. The hosts were very cute and accommodating. The room was outdated and cleanliness could have been improved, as daily housekeeping was lacking.
